Albert Einstein Said “Scientists analyze what already exists; engineers construct what has never existed”. The term “science” is used to explain electromagnetic radiation, but the term “engineering” is used to describe the construction of a radio or television. Many of the so-called “wonders of modern science” are actually engineering marvels.

It has long been obvious that technological innovation has been a key to Indian prosperity and growth, and engineering has been an important pillar of this innovation. Engineering disciplines integrate scientific principles with practical research, providing systems and processes that are both practical and efficient.

Engineering is taught to think like an engineer, to acquire logical thinking and critical analysis skills. All these skills are needed in the professional world of an any field. Thus, engineers do better no matter which industry they choose, and they also tend to earn more.

Engineers contribute to the development of the physical infrastructure on which we all rely such as transportation networks, roads, bridges, water and electricity sources, and waste management. Engineering has a much broader and longer-lasting impact by helping to fuel economic expansion by developing this infrastructure

There are a number of jobs and career prospects in engineering presently and in the future. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, many new jobs are expected to be created by 2026 in the field of engineering.

Due to close links of technology, engineering has played a vital role in the advancement of computers, hospital machines, the internet, and more. Healthcare has also improved dramatically in medical technology. Technology innovation has been key to growth and prosperity of India, and engineering has been a major driver of that innovation. Engineering disciplines incorporate scientific principles into practice-oriented research, providing systems and processes that themselves create the way of knowledge.

The scale-up of medicines and vaccines is another area where engineers play a role. Scientists are discovering a vaccine, which is a scientific effort with some engineering elements, but scaling it from 100 to a billion doses is a tremendous engineering issue. The same is true when it comes to producing treatments.

Artificial intelligence and machine learning have also been used to accelerate the development of treatments and vaccinations. Artificial intelligence sifts through a large amount of data to find possible therapeutic pathways. What medications, for example, could be employed to inhibit the virus’s antigens from entering cells.

Engineers are also working to maintain the supply chain’s integrity, which includes transporting  masks to where they’re needed and assembling the necessary chemicals to make vaccines and  Medicines that come from all over the world.

Tele work has also been made possible by technological advances. Where would we be today if this happened 20 years ago? We wouldn’t be able to communicate in this manner. The pandemic has raised all of these technologies, including broadband, wireless communication, 5G, Zoom, and other platforms.
