The four Year Hotel Management programme offered by the Institute equips the students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The programme also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skills standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping.
The Institute not only lay stress and emphasize on creating professional skills by continuously participating in National Level Hospitality events i.e. Chef Competitions, Bar Competitions, Flower arrangement Competitions but also encourages various other curriculum activities to develop an overall personality of the students.As a result,IEC-IHM has been able to achieve Ist Positions regularly for the last two Years in the National level Inter-College Competitions i.e. Chef, Bar & Flower arrangement Competitions organized at various Hotel Management Institutions of the Country.
Institute has arranged special Lectures in a Week for conducting Personality Development Classes & French Language Classes by inviting experts in related field for overall development of students. Institute provides through its Library various National & International Hospitality Journals & Magazines to keep the students updated & familiarized with the recent development in the industry & research activities being conducted in the hospitality field. The Institute Organize at regular intervals the short term intensive course through guest lecturers, along with seminars in aspect of various recent industrial developments by the inviting experts from the Hotels.
In reference to data available on the website of Ministry of Tourism, Govt.of India, The Tourism industry is growing at a rapid pace with growth of over 10% over last year. During the 12th five year plan, a 12% growth has been projected. This growth would result in an additional employment generation of 2.5 crores. 1. FOOD PRODUCTION LAB -
To demonstrate and conduct hands-on training in processing raw material into
ready to serve finished dishes, evaluating pre-processing and testing finished
dishes, the Institute is having the following Food production Labs furnished with all the essential equipments as per industry requirement -
BASIC TRAINING KITCHEN –
To familiarize the basics of food production for the 1st Year BHMCT Students, Basic Training kitchen is fully equipped with modern catering equipments and appliances specifically for students of first year to learn the basic preparation of all the cuisines.
It equips the students with the basic skill of menu planning , principles of continental cookery, basic food costing , kitchen management and for imparting training to beginners with an objective to introduce them to fundamentals and to the art of cooking and to acquire cooking skills.
QUANTITY TRAINING KITCHEN –
This kitchen is primarily used for BHMCT-2nd Year students to impart them training for preparing food in bulk for banquets/parties specifically to cater for large groups and catering the vide variety of people representing different culinary zones of India. The Quantity Kitchen is designed to produce food in quantity with an objective of training for institutional and industrial catering.
ADVANCE TRAINING KITCHEN –
This Kitchen is equipped with the ultra modern kitchen gadgets and equipment specifically for BHMCT 3rd & 4th Year Students. This is a most modern well equipped kitchen to impart training to students for international Cuisines -French , Oriental ,Chinese ,Thai , Italy ,Germany ,Spain , Greece , Mexican , Mediterranean ,etc and to excel in the art of cooking and presentation.
BAKERY & CONFECTIONERY
The Bakery & Confectionary Lab is equipped with all the Bakery & Confectionary tools & equipments to train the students in the art of making yeast products, flour confectionary products, chocolates, cold and hot pudding in order to prepare them to face the challenges of the Baking & Confectionary industry.
LARDER-
The Larder and Cold Room section is equipped to train the students in the area of force meat and cold cut preparations. This section imparts training in the art of sausage preparation, cold salads, galantine, pate and terrines. The cold room section is an indispensable part of any international kitchen.
2.FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE LAB :
To demonstrate and conduct hands-on training in Foods & Beverage Service, the Institute is having following Labs-
BASIC TRAINING RESTAURANT –
This lab is fully equipped with all the required Restaurant equipments specifically to provide hands -on –training to the Ist Year Students of BHMCT programme. The restaurant has a total capacity of 40 covers. It caters a la’ carte meal supplied by kitchen labs and Bakery & Confectionery on regular basis.
ADVANCE TRAINING RESTAURANT WITH BAR –
This lab is equipmed with all the specialized Traininig equipments such as Gueridon, Buffet , well equipped Bar where A team of senior assisted by junior students manage Food & Beverage Service Operations during the lunch hour. This helps to enhance the practical skills as well as interpersonal skills of the students at work while also providing the ambience of a fine dining restaurant for the diners. Attached Mock bar of the Institute is equipped to train the students regarding the service of various alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and the preparation of various cocktails and mocktails of international standards
Here they are trained to understand and perform the fundamentals of service of food and beverages, to pay attention to the needs of guests and learn to deal with various situations through face-to-face encounters during service practice.
3.COMPUTER LAB-
Equipped with 30 terminals on a Local Area Network with the latest multi-media systems with Internet connectivity. Students have hands-on experience with HMS and application packages.
4.HOUSEKEEPING-
This is a lab which is equipped with the most modern equipments and guest supplies, chemicals, abrasives, linen etc. required for accommodation upkeep and other related jobs where students of all the batches are instructed in the skills of preparing rooms, keeping public areas in an aesthetic condition, providing clean, stain-free linen, arranging flowers and learning the management aspects that go into providing smooth, efficient and effective services to the recipients of these services.
5.FRONT OFFICE LAB-
The front office lab is a well equipped Lab used for training students in all operational aspects of the Front Office i.e. Room Reservation, Registration, Guest Relations, Telephones, Cashiering, Guest Accounting, Revenue Management etc. The Institute has installed Software like Fidelio for computerized Front Office operations to enable the students to work in the front office of any hospitality organization with the modern systems or software for accounting, arrival, departure, etc..Role playing, Situation Handling, Other Front Office related exercises, Property Management Systems, accounting are the key areas of training in this lab .
6.GUEST ROOM-
The institute has a well equipped model guest room which gives the students hand on experience in cleaning & maintenance of Room, Bed-making, placement of supplies , handling maintenance in rooms and principles of overall management of the guest rooms.

AUDIO-VISUAL FACILITY-
Institute has the audio–visual aids for classroom, conference & presentation purposes.i.e.LCD Projectors, Laptops, Overhead Projectors with Screen, Epidiascopes, Slide Projector, Flipchart Boards, 29” Television, VCR & DVD Player, Facility for multimedia presentation, PA System,Video Camera & Still Camera.
CONFERENCE ROOM –
The Institute has well equipped Conference Room .
AUDITORIUM & SEMINAR HALL -
Institute has an auditorium & Seminar Hall with a capacity of 250 pax having the PA system, spotlights etc. It is extensively used for Institute functions and also visiting guest speakers & for campus placement presentations.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES –
Extra Curricular activites are organized in the Institute at regular intervals to provide the students a platform to display their talents which cannot be exhibited in a classroom in the regular course of studies. These co-curricular events are organized with the objective of developing talent of the students in their area of expertise, improving their capabilities to work as a team and raising their level of self-confidence in interacting with fellow students and peers.
During the preparation for participating such Inter-College competitions, they learn Team Dynamics, Leadership, Discipline, & Perseverance which helps to boost up their self confidence and help them to be better communicators. The whole process leads them towards being better individuals ready to take up the reins of managing challenges in life more effectively.

Food festival at IECIHM-9TH February 2012
Food festival was organized by the students on the theme –STREET FOOD OF INDIA.Students organised various stalls on the same theme. All the Important dignitaries from IEC Group of Institutes presence was also a source of motivation for all.Mr. R.L Gupta(Chairman),Dr. D.B Singh(Director) and Prof. B.N Roy(Vice President) encouraged the students.
Fresher’s Party-28th August ,2012
Fresher’s party was organized by IECIHM faculties and the senior students for the students batch 2012. Various activities were planned like singing, dancing etc followed by lunch and a dance party for the students.Freshers introduced themselves and got a chance to interact with their seniors. 
Debate Competition-September 2012
A debate competition was held by IEC group of Institutions for the students in both English and Hindi Languages.The guest of honors were Mr. R.L Gupta(Chairman),Dr. D.B Singh(Director) and Prof. B.N Roy(Vice President) who supported and encouraged the students with their presence.
The topic for the debate was whether “Electronic media should be censored or not”.IECIHM students Ankur Chauhan ,Manish,Devaish Satyawali and Shikha Shukla participated in the same and performed well. Students of IEC IHM got an opportunirty to show their creativity and talent during debate competition.
Teachers Day Celebration-5th September, 2012
Students celebrated Teachers Day by organizing various programs, games for the teachers with a gift and snack ceremony and hence giving a break to all the faculties from their daily schedule.
Industrial Visit to Parle Factory -14th September 2012
An Industrial visit was organized for the students of IECIHM to the Parle factory. Students were accompanied by some of the faculties Ms. Jyoti, Ms. Sangna, Mr. Deepak, and Mr. Sumit.The procedure for manufacturing and production of the various biscuits and other products were shown to the students.
Industrial Visit to – International Hospitality Fair-21st September 2012
The 3rd International Hospitality Fair was organized by Tourism of India and managed by Confederation of India Industry from 20th -22nd September at Pragati Maiden, Hall Number 12. Four faculties Ms. Jyoti kukreja, Mr. Deepak Chhikara, Dr. Akriti Singh, Ms. Priyanka Pandey, and 50 students were part of that fair from IEC-IHM. The fair was inaugurated with lighting of lamp by Mr. Subodh Kant Sahya (Tourism Minister of India) Mr. Sanjay Kothari, Secretary, Minister of Tourism & Mr. Sayed Serwani from Board of Governors, Ministry of Tourism.
World Tourism Day-27th September 2012
IEC Institute of Hotel Management, Greater Noida, commemorates the 33rd World Tourism Day on 27th September 2012 with chief guest Chef Rajat Dixit, Executive Sous Chef , Jaypee Group of Hotels. Other Important dignitaries from IEC Group of Institutes presence was also a source of motivation for all .Mr. R.L Gupta(Chairman),Dr. D.B Singh(Director) and Prof.B.N Roy(Vice President) encouraged the students.
On the Occasion of world tourism day various events were organized such as chef competition, Rangoli making competition, cocktail and Mocktail making competition.The winners of the internal Chef competition were Shilpa and Ujjawal,Sunita and Vishwas.The winners of the cocktail mocktail making competition were Ujjawal and Deepak. The winners of Rangoli competition were Shikha ,Pratibha,Sonal and Jyoti.The guest of honor was Chef Rajat Dixit (Jaypee Hotel) who judged the students on their skills, presentation in the chef competition.
Chandiwala Hospitality Ensemble-10th – 12th OCTOBER, 2012
A National level mega event for hospitality education sector where IECIHM Students participated in various chef competitions and floral decoration competition.IECIHM students were awarded with the 1st position in both Chef competition and the floral decoration competition.Winners of Chef competition were Shilpa Sharma and Ujjawal Sharma and the winner of floral decoration competition was Devaish Satyawali.
Workshop on Wine manufacture by SULA Vineyards-18th 0ctober 2012
A wine tasting presentation was held in IECIHM. SULA VINEYARDS held wine tasting session and gave presentation on their various brands. It was an interactive session on scope and skill development on various brands for the students and as well as for faculties. Various types of wines were served by Ms. Jyoti Nikhalie(Assistant Manager) and Mr.Vinod Ku. Singh (Assistant Sales Manager) SULA VINEYARDS(Nashik).
Annual Day Celebration-4th November 2012
Annual day function was organized by IEC Group named RAZZMATAZZ where students of IEC IHM Anshu and Bhaskar presented a dance performance in the Annual day celebration.
Various artists such as Jassi (singer), Kumar Vishwas, Vineet(Singer),Fictitious (dancing group) were called up on the Annual Day. It was followed by dinner.
INTER -COLLEGE CHEF COMPETITION
IEC Institute of Hotel Management, one of the prominent name in Hotel Management Colleges organised a Inter-College chef competition, 2013 – Chef’s Cook Off as a part of Technical Fest Innovision-2013 on 16th March, 13 at IEC-IHM premises.
IEC Institute of Hotel Management, Greater Noida, commemorates the National Level Chef Competition on 16th March 2013 with chief guest Chef Rajat Dixit, Sous Chef Jaypee Group of Hotels and Chef Dibyendu Misra Executive Sous Chef Radisson Blu Greater Noida. Other Important dignitaries from IEC Group of Institutes presence were also a source of motivation for all.
Students of BCIHMCT-Prateek and Prashant were awarded the 1st position in the Chef Competition

A Mocktail Presentation was held at IECIHM where Mr. Yangdup Lama from Dreams and Cocktail Company gave presentation on bartending .Various types of Cocktails and Mocktails were prepared & demonstrated to students.

Workshop & Industrial Visit+
Workshop on European Cuisine-15th Feburary 2013
A workshop was organized for the students and faculties of IECIHM on European cuisine by three Chefs from Spain Chef Guillermo Torino,Chef Julian Arranz and Chef Jesus Prieto for familiarizing the students about the European Methods of Cooking,European dishes and ingredients to be used for the same preparation through LIVE COOKING and TASTING SESSIONS.
The programme started with a presentation on the European Cuisine followed by introduction on European Recipe Book and European Gastronomy Introduction and European cooking methods.
It was followed by cooking demonstration by the European Chefs followed by the lunch for the delegates.
Then a master class on European food production for students was conducted for the students at basic level.Then an advanced level training for European food production for both students and teachers were organized and hence the session was concluded.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO AAHAR -
Students of IECIHM visited AAHAR International Food Fair at Pragati Maidan. Faculty members accompanied the students to the Fair so as to update the students with the recent developments & practices being followed in the hospitality industry.
DLF Company Visit at IEC-IHM
A presentation was organized for the students by DLF Company. Mr. Ritesh Negi (Chef De Cuisine) and Mr. Yogendra Negi (Corporate Training Manager) were welcomed and gave presentation to the students about their company & Training & placement opportunities exist in the company ,it was followed by an interactive session with the students & company officials.
Industrial visit to Hotel Radisson, Gr.Noida on 21st March,2013
An Industrial Visit to Hotel Radisson , Gr.Noida has been organized for the students on 21st March,2013 to update them with the recent developments & practices being followed in the hotels.Students accompanied with the faculty members of the Institute during the same visit.
