Electrical Engineering curricula have been under frequent revision in all Universities in the light of rapid advancements in electrical technology. For effective teaching of the latest syllabi, the Department has built a team of dedicated, experienced and learned faculty members who have rich experience in reputed academic institutes and industries. This blend of experienced teachers with years of experience in electrical engineering practice gives the department an edge over its peers and gives the perspective graduates an added advantage in the competitive job market. The personality development program run by the training and placement cell of the institute helps in the development of overall personality of our students and hones their soft skills to fetch them rewarding and lucrative jobs rather easily.
The department is well equipped Labs for training the students. Modern facilities by way of simulation and design software packages, modern measuring instruments and machines for research by post graduate students and faculty members exist. The institute library and the departmental library are both liberally stocked with reference books, manuals and journals.
Student’s centric teaching learning processes have been the core of our pedagogy. Frequent interactions with industry experts and noted academicians by organizing seminars and workshop keep the students and faculty members abreast with the latest developments and trends in the electrical industry. Inspiration to students and encouragement for innovation is backed by industry relevant projects. The professional society of the department, SPARX organizes several technical exchanges, debates, quizzes and competitions to enhance the students, skills for technical presentation and interaction.
The demand of electrical engineering graduates as such has been on the rise and is expected to grow further as planners and policy makers give a push to power generation, and as major reforms are implemented in the transmission and distribution sector. Similarly, for enhancing the awareness for power conservation, for designing and promoting use of energy efficient devices, equipment and appliances, more and more power engineers will be required. There has been a great gap between the demand and availability of competent electrical engineers. The IEC Group has anticipated the emerging scenario and started the B.Tech course in electrical engineering way back in 1999 to contribute in the national effort to reduce this shortfall in availability of power engineers.About Us+

B.Tech. (Electrical & Electronics Engineering)
About Us+
Electrical and Electronic engineering both deal with the study and applications of electrons and electricity. Electrical engineering deals with large-scale electrical systems like power transmission & motor control (i.e. where electricity is used to transmit energy) while electronic engineering studies small-scale electronic systems like computers and integrated circuits (i.e. where electricity is used to transmit information). This is one of the largest and fastest growing field of engineering. It covers a wide range of applications, which make our life easier and enjoyable such as Television, Radio, computers, telecommunication etc.
Both disciplines play an important role in our lives. Electrical engineers develop and oversee electrical systems and equipment. They work with everything from power grids to computers and telephones to cars. Electronic engineers on the other hand look after and maintain electronic equipments. Almost all the industries are highly dependent on electrical and electronic engineering. Both are labour intensive industries and thus provide ample job opportunities to qualified engineers.Higher Studies in Management
EEE Graduates can also appear in various test like CAT, MAT, GMAT etc. and make career in Management.
Job Prospects+
Employment opportunities in both the fields are looking up. The electric/electronic industry too has benefitted a lot from the de-licensing and de-regulations that the government has allowed. Now with exposure to global players and competition, the Indian companies have improved the quality of production and are growing to their true potential. This, in turn means better job opportunities for electronic and electrical engineering graduates. The industry has seen a reported growth of 20% and is expected to continue at the same pace in the coming years. Qualified engineers are getting absorbed across industries and sectors and will continue to do so in future.
An EEE engineer has to find new solutions to the practical problems affecting our daily lives. An electronics engineer will work in team with other specialists to design, fabricate, produce, test and supervise the manufacture of complex products and systems i.e electronic equipments and components for a number of industries including hospitals, computer industry, electronic data processing systems for communication and in defense etc. They supervise production and manufacturing processes and oversee installation and maintenance. Electronics engineers work with devices that use extremely small amounts of power. They work with microprocessors, fibre optics, and in telecommunication, television, radio etc.
Those who are academically oriented can also take up teaching and research and development in one of the many engineering colleges in India or abroad. Electronic engineers can start their own business by manufacturing electronic parts, goods and components. They can also start a repair or assembly shop for television receivers, amplifiers, recording equipment etc. Since electronics is a labour intensive and talent-oriented field, it gives high returns for a given initial investment.
Electrical & Electronics Engineering is one of the core branches of engineering.
Studying B tech EEE would help to understand the production, utilization & distribution of electrical energy. It also covers important portions in Electronics.
By studying B Tech EEE you could get job in any area where there is electrical energy involved may be it’s in Industries, Defence, Research etc.
Since Electrical energy is the most suitable & economical form of energy a person knowing to control it would easily find a job in any sector.
Other options are IT, Civil Service, Indian Engineering Service etc.Electrical Engineering is one of the branch oldest branches from time immemorial. It is one of the fundamental branches of science and technology on which all other modern branches of engineering have evolved from .the total civilization has taken a sharp turn with the invention of electricity. Long distance electrical power transmission was mainly responsible for the sudden twist in the society’s development. The invention of many electrical appliances, electrical drives and machines has changed the total life style of mankind.
As the time progressed, new developments have taken place in the field of Electrical Engineering. Transistors were invented which further led to the invention of IC’s and VLSI chips. These devices made new applications possible in the field of communications and computations.
Any branch of science and technology constantly evolves and new inventions and developments in that field change its form and shape. Hence the students studying this branch of engineering should be imparted with this latest information and knowledge. Hence Electrical Engineering has been supplemented by adding these Electronics subjects in their curriculum and it is renamed as Electrical and Electronics Engineering branch or EEE branch in short.
This supplementation with modern subjects is necessary to keep new generation of students abreast of latest information and knowledge. At the same time, the traditional knowledge on which the modern civilization rose, basing it as the foundation has been kept intact. With this the EEE branch stood as highly comprehensive branch of Science, Engineering and Technology, covering the traditional subjects and modern subjects in proper mix.
The student of EEE has definitely an edge over students of other branches of engineering since they have both traditional knowledge acting as the base and knowledge of other modern subjects.
Any structure, however high it might have grown, would always stand on its foundation. If the foundation is weak, the structure is bound to collapse one day or the other. Many modern branches of Science, Engineering and Technology have ignored this fact and they do not contain subjects on which the modern subjects have evolved from. It is like building first floor by slipping off the ground floor from underneath. It is like a student not caring to learn tables, as he knew to operate a calculator. In this respect, the EEE branch and EEE students are definitely superior and well placed as they have very wide and comprehensive knowledge, when they go out of the college. These are the people, who stand as pillars over which the total civilization would be supported on.Career Options+
After graduated EEE students have a wide range of options to pursue a career in the field of their own interest some of the fields are mentioned below.
